The Texas Historical Foundation (THF)was created at the first meeting of the Texas State Historical Survey Committee(TSHSC) in 1953 as the committee’s fundraising and grant writing arm. The collectioncontains board of directors’ minutes, executive director’s files, correspondence,financial statements, grant proposals and event fliers, dating 1966-1981, undated,bulk 1972-1980. Also present are records from the Texas Heritage Council, whichsupported nonprofit preservation groups in Texas from 1977 to 1982, and dissolved in1983.
